The Paediatrics Department at Badr Al Samaa is having a six member team of Paediatricians taking tender care from newborn till adolescence. We have a separate department for adolescence counseling also.

Our care starts from birth, then vaccination, treatment of minor and major illness and inpatient care. So we try to give complete comprehensive care for paediatric patients. Here we come across variety of cases, challenging diseases. This is a place where in addition to local patients; patients from far of places like Quriyat, Ibra, Nizwa, and Salalah visit us. We get lot of referrals from other doctors practicing in surrounding area.

Here we would like to mention that among the patients who visit us half of them are the Omani people. The department of paeditrics plays a vital role in managing the newborns in our gynaecology department. Most of them are healthy but few get into some problems. Some of the problems like prematurity, IUGR, Meconium aspiration, Hypoglycenisa, exaggerated physiological jaundice etc. we can manage here. Still, we are expanding our neonatal unit with more facilities, more gadgets and monitors. We hope that we will be able to give much more better care to these newborns.When we see the little ones going home with a smile, our work gets rewarded.
