Department of Internal medicine is available in Badr Al Samaa from the inception onwards. A team of highly qualified Internists assisted by a team of General Practitioners is available here.

Apart from Out - patient and In-patient care, the department has a team of doctors in emergency and critical care service is active round the clock. In a short span of time the department has earned the approval & confidence of the people and doctors in Oman as a referral center. Accepting the importance of healthcare to assure a healthy generation we had always given top priority to convey the message of the saying "prevention is better than cure". Keeping this in mind the internal medicine department offers different type of health packages including a comprehensive health check up programme such as Executive Body Check Up, Full Body Check-Up, Diabetic Care Check up, etc. The response to such preventive health programmes are very encouraging and hence we are planning wide health awareness programmes and seminars through out the country.

The department is planning to introduce in the near future a Diabetic care clinic, asthma and allergy clinic with pulmonary function studies, Geriatric care clinic for old age, cancer screening programme, Sleep Therapy, etc. We conduct CME’s on clinical topics for general practitioners and first aid programme for public with the help of social organisations.

Department of Internal Medicine is headed by Dr. Basheer. He completed his Post Graduation in 1996, subsequently underwent training in P.G.I, Chandigarh and Jeslok Hospital, Mumbai. He worked as a consultant in well known hospitals like Moulana Hospital, National Hospital, Calicut and Assumption Hospital, Bathery in Kerala. The other doctors working in this department are:-
